BullBase (https://bullbasedata.com) is a community-driven livestock sire directory. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us about privacy questions.

1. Information We Collect

Account creation. When you register, we collect the information you provide (such as username, display name, and password credentials). Authentication is handled through Supabase; we do not store your password in plain text.

Email addresses. We collect your email address when you create an account, confirm your identity, reset your password, or change account settings. We use email to deliver account-related messages (sign-in links, password resets, and email change confirmations).

User-submitted content. Photos, pedigrees, reviews, progeny records, and other directory data you upload are stored to operate the public wiki and community features described in our Terms of Service.

2. Payment Processing

When you purchase advertising through BullBase, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive transaction metadata needed to fulfill your order (such as payment status, amount, and a Stripe customer or session identifier). We do not store full credit card numbers on BullBase servers. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

3. First-Party Analytics

BullBase uses first-party analytics stored in our own database — not third-party ad trackers — to understand how the directory is used:

• Bull profile views — we log views of bull profile pages in our bull_views table to power trending and traffic insights.
• Advertisement engagement — we log banner impressions and outbound clicks in our ad_engagements table to report ad performance to advertisers and operate the ad program.
• Cookies & Session Data — BullBase uses essential HTTP cookies strictly to maintain secure user sessions and keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking or cross-site advertising cookies.

These events are tied to the page or advertisement viewed and a timestamp. They are not sold to data brokers and are used solely to operate, secure, and improve BullBase.

4. How We Use Information

• Provide and maintain your account and the public directory.
• Process advertising orders and display paid placements.
• Measure site and advertising performance using first-party analytics.
• Respond to support requests, abuse reports, and legal notices.
• Protect the platform against fraud, spam, and unauthorized access.

5. Sharing & Retention

We share data with service providers that help us operate BullBase (hosting, authentication, payments, and email delivery). We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of BullBase, our users, and the public.

We retain account and directory data for as long as needed to provide the Services and maintain database integrity, including after account closure where community records must remain available (see our Terms of Service).

6. Your Choices

You may update account settings, request account deletion subject to our Terms, and opt out of non-essential communications where applicable. Public wiki content you contributed may remain visible after account deletion to preserve directory continuity.
